Digg Removes Rank Completely!

Digg has just removed the rank from users’ profiles. This means that it is now impossible to see a user’s rank, and third-party Top Users lists will no longer work. Is Kevin Rose making a huge mistake?

NMSU uses Podcasts to Educate Troops

The idea is simple: Provide airmen at Holloman an entire course, minus the mid-term and final exam, on an iPod. The digital media devices are bought by NMSU specifically for this project. Upon returning from deployment, the troops turn in their iPod, and then take the mid-term and final.

The Swiss based software company, Elby, has stopped the sales of CloneCD due to the new legal situation. (For those who aren’t familiar with CloneCD, it was one of the best 1:1 disk copiers on the market today.)

Microsoft Antispyware: over 4GB of diskspace used

I was scanning through my computer looking for bloated programs and I came across Microsoft Antispyware. I went to check it’s disk usage and guess what is was:

 

4,324,919,915 (4,325,470,208 on disk) bytes.

I was a bit starled at this number. The source of the p  roblem was the log. Yes, it was a txt file. It was a 4GB txt file.

I was wondering why this was. It ended up it was the beta version of the program and just an abnormal bug. I just uninstalled AntiSpyware all together, because it’s use has been expired since July, 31 2005.

So, if you still have the old beta installed, GET RID OF IT OR SUFFER MASSIVE DISK USAGE.
